Directed by cult favourite Ken Russell and starring Gabriel Byrne, Julian Sands, Natasha Richardson and Timothy Spall, Gothic delves into the erotic and terrifying night that ultimately birthed Mary Shelley's classic horror story Frankenstein. When a wild storm rages over poet Lord Byron's literary house party, he suggests everyone invent a ghost story. They hold a seance - and conjure their deepest fears. Plunged into surreal horror, they wonder if it is merely the power of their own intense lusts and vivid imaginations that is tormenting them, or if they have raised the dead!
What a load of rubbish this is . Very confusing film to watch and I think who ever wrote and made this they were all on something and tripping. The story was very poor and the acting is dreadfull . I wouldn't waste a rental on this film.
