Synopsis:
Matt Hayes, widely regarded as one of the best all-round anglers in Britain, and Mick Brown, a predatory angler with an excellent knowledge of UK fishing sites take up a challenge to dash 700 miles from the west coast of Ireland to the most easterly point in England passing through the best angling sites in the British Isles.

The Challenge
Matt Hayes and Mick Brown are back for a fresh new challenge. They have to dash 700 miles from the west coast of Ireland to the most easterly point in England passing through the best angling sites in the British Isles. But there's a catch...they have only 30 days to reach their destination and one pound of fish equals one mile, so the heavier the fish, the further they can go!
Days 7-8
Our intrepid anglers have used up all their miles to reach Woodford where they bag up with 941b of carp and tench! Things get tougher on the River Shannon at Portumna but Matt eventually lands sizeable roach.
Days 9-10
Matt and Mick are back on the River Shannon where they show us how to use a sliding float to catch bream. They move on to Lough Sheelin where trawling lands them a number of excellent pike.
Days 11-12
Mick shows us how to use Spinning and Jerk Baits to catch roach and bream hybrids on Lake Lacken. Then onto Lough Ramor float fishing for pike and pole fishing for bream and roach. But can they land the 191b of fish to get them across the Irish Sea?
