Guided by Voices: Watch Me Jumpstart (1998)

This film chronicles the legend of Guided By Voices, a tale of pop music mastery through self-reliance. Filmmaker Banks Tarver documents the history of the band leading up to release of their tenth album, Under the bushes under the stars. Shot on location in the band's hometown of Dayton, Ohio, this short-form documentary captures the band on the verge of leaving the basement with an abundance of in-depth interviews with the band, along with archival material and live footage.
