- Synopsis:
- This more direct interpretation of Conrad's classic novel than 'Apocalypse Now' follows Charlie Marlow (Tim Roth) who accepts an assignment from a Belgian company to pilot a boat up the Congo and rescue a cache of ivory, which a former employee, Captain Kurtz (John Malkovich) has purloined. Mysterious things start to happen as they go deeper and deeper into the jungle where Marlow finally finds Kurtz. He discovers that Kurtz has started to live like a native is being worshipped by a group of African followers and slowly going mad.
