- Home Fires is a British period drama TV series set in the community of rural Cheshire during World War II, following a group of determined women in the midst of a deep humanity crisis. The cast consists of Samantha Bond, Claire Rushbrook, Fenella Woolgar, Leanne Best and Ed Stoppard among other actors, while the series sees its main inspiration in the book Jambusters by author Julie Summers.
