Synopsis:
In the darkest Amazon, Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker - on expedition for the British Museum to find the remains of a lost Victorian explorer - runs into Hooten - a rough and ready, uncompromising American treasure hunter with a tragic past and only occasional charm. They immediately utterly fail to get on, but expediency, danger and a mutual desire to prove the other wrong keep them together. With the backing of the brilliant and eccentric Ella and Clive at the Museum, they travel the globe (the Amazon, Rome, Egypt, the Himalayas, Ethiopia, Russia, Cambodia and the Caribbean) in search of lost treasures, facing constant danger in a world where nothing and no one is quite what it seems.
They may bicker, they may fight, but together they have the skills necessary to uncover what the Museum - and Lady Alex - finds of interest. Hooten would rather have the money - or so he says. But as his story unfolds, his own tragic history, just like the artefacts he uncovers, won't stay buried forever.

Could have been good ,nice cinematography, and v interesting subject matter. But has "Jonathan Creek syndrome" in that the female protagonist just shouts at the men in an ultra stressed out near nervous breakdown rage all the time. Not powerful or strong , just annoying and unrealistic. Its a pity because its really watchable otherwise.
