- Synopsis:
Hiccup (voice by Jay Baruchel) is a failure as a Viking: skinny, inquisitive, and inventive, he asks questions and tries out unsuccessful contraptions when he's supposed to be fighting the dragons that attack his village. His father, chief Stoick the Vast (voice of Gerard Butler), has pretty much given up on his teenage son and apprenticed him to blacksmith Gobber (voice of Craig Ferguson). Worse, Hiccup knows the village loser hasn't a chance of impressing Astrid (voice of America Ferrera), the girl of his dreams and a formidable dragon fighter in her own right. When one of Hiccup's inventions actually works, he hasn't the heart to kill the young dragon he's brought down. GREAT FILM FOR ALL THE FAMILY. THE FRIENDSHIP WITH THE DRAGON WAS VERY TOUCHING AND THE FILM WAS VERY ENTERTAINING. WATCHED IT TWICE IT WAS THAT GOOD.

Wish I had one - How to Train Your Dragon review by CS
This film makes me want to go out and get my very own dragon. Although I'm all grown up now, i still like to live like a kid now and then. This is a great family fun film, just very likeable, lovable characters and I'm sure that everyone will have their favourite. What can I say that won't give the plot away? Err, Vikings, Cute and not so cute Dragons, obligatory but not nauseating love interest, geeky hero and lots of action. This is a well made and very high quality piece of animation. Good Subtitles for those with hearing loss. All in a fun film that if you like cartoons with amore grown up edge to them, I can highly recommend.

Can’t wait to get the sequel - How to Train Your Dragon review by DS
Much better than I was expecting, great animation and characterisation and the 3D is breathtaking. Like MH I would definitely watch it again, one to buy and keep I think.
