Synopsis:
The third feature film from acclaimed diver, ecologist and legend of marine exploration Jacques Cousteau, 'Voyage to the Edge of the World' sees the famous Captain and his crew face entirely new challenges as they set sail for the frozen seas and deadly winds of the Antarctic. The first research expedition to explore the undersea world of Antarctica, Cousteau and the crew of Calypso encounter seals, humpback whales, penguins, the elusive icefish and a cast of bizarre deep-water creatures never before filmed in their natural habitat.
Diving through holes cut in the ice, or in lakes hidden deep within majestic, imposing icebergs, the beauty of the Antarctic seas rivals anything the crew has seen before. Yet, in pursuit of new horizons, Captain Cousteau and the crew must confront the most dangerous conditions ever faced by Calypso. Blizzards, icebergs and 120mph winds threaten to damage the beloved ship beyond repair, and the expedition suffers a tragedy that casts a terrible shadow over the beautiful, forbidding and almost impenetrable white landscape they find at the edge of the world...
