- Synopsis:
"Lollipop and Mr. Mole", alias Maggie and Reg Robinson, are partners in a blissful and romantic union, a marriage firmly based on the premise that opposites attract. Tucked away in their cosy cottage in Fulham, SW6, the ever-obliging Reg is constantly in need of protection from the world - and sometimes from himself; while Reg is kindness personified, the iron-willed Maggie knows that generosity can sometimes cause more problems than it solves...Peggy Mount stars opposite Hugh Lloyd in this wonderfully engaging sitcom by legendary comedy writer Jimmy Perry. The scenario of a mismatched yet mutually beneficial marriage gave full reign to Mount's legendary talent for portraying formidable females, and the role of the well-meaning underdog was one that Lloyd had honed to perfection. Rex Garner and Pat Coombs also star as as lodgers Bruce and Violet. The series ran for 13 colour episodes and this set contains the only two episodes known to exist (in black and white). - Actors:
