This fairy-tale of a film sees Gracie Fields star as the daughter of a pub landlord who falls in love with a foreign Prince Charming. Fields is Nellie Gwynn, a down-to-earth girl who meets Prince Charles of Granau (John Loder) at a fancy dress ball.
