Once a respected mental health facility, Cunningham Hall is now a decaying relic with too many patients and too few dollars, but when an eager young medical student named Clark Stevens (Joshua Leonard) accepts an internship in the asylum to finish his degree, he soon finds himself reporting for a duty in a Madhouse. Clark also meets Sara (Jordan Ladd), a lovely young nurse who gives him a tour of the facility, including the dreaded basement, AKA The Madhouse. Clark soon grows concerned with the condition of the patients, including Alice's (Natasha Lyonne) horrifying hallucinations and Carl's (Aaron Strongoni) suicidal tendencies. But Clark begins to question his own sanity when he sees the haunting figure of a young boy, who appears to be trying to warn him. Clark turns to Sara for help, and becomes increasingly attracted to her, but finds that even she has something to hide
Ok, so I know it isn't meant to be 'real' but from the moment Clark Stevens (Joshua Leonard) is introduced to Sara (Jordan Ladd) you know that this is going to be too way out there. I mean what good looking 20 something young lady is going to chose a career working in a nut house that is straight out of the house of horror's?
The whole story rapidly declines there on in with Lance Henriksen forgetting that he is supposed to be playing the part of the Senior Partner and instead acting like one of the inmates.
