Jack Lucas (Lou Diamond Phillips) is a hero - reviled by criminals and respected by his fellow officers following his heroic actions during a siege. Placed under the care of police psychologist Joe Dexter Jack tries to cope with his trauma and the relentless media attention. Following a chance meeting in bar with a stranger, Jack wakes up in the men's room with his shirt ripped and gun stolen. A nightmare begins for Jack as he tries to piece together the missing hour of his life and when Dexter is found dead Jack goes from hero to number one suspect over night..
