- Synopsis:
"Medics", a commendably realistic drama focusing on the everyday lives of the staff and patients of a large teaching hospital, ran for five highly successful series between 1990 and 1995. This first series stars Peter Wingfield (Holby City, 24) with guest appearances from Amanda Burton, Gina McKee, Mark Jordon and Burt Kwouk. At the Henry Park Hospital, in the north west of England, a hardworking team of doctors, nurses and administrative staff face a barrage of personal and professional challenges. Pushed to their physical and emotional limits by long hours and ever-increasing pressure, accusations of negligence, drug addiction and mismatched relationships are just some of the problems they must overcome. - Actors:
