- One of the most successful TV shows of its era and featuring star of LWT's best-selling Doctor series Barry Evans, Mind Your Language is classic comedy. Evans plays Jeremy Brown a mild mannered English teacher, keen and ready to take on the world of language! That is until he meets his new students of course, who can barely speak a world of English between them. His life is further complicated by the forbidden night school principal Miss Courtney who is destined to make Jeremy's life hell.

Great classic comedy - Mind Your Language: The Best Of: Vol.1 review by PV
This show is much maligned by the PC mafia - they accuse it of terrible racism and it has actually been banned by the BBC!
But it's not at all racist - and, unlike Hardeep et al at the BBC, it's actually funny!
It is comedy based on cariacature - of foreign people AND an Englishman who teaches them. Its comedy is warm and fond and the intention is not racist at all.
The BBC stormtroopers however have decided it's a racist show so must be destroyed!
Give me this rather than any PC ethnic comedy from now - Jocelyn, Amos, Koli - all tripe compared to 1970s classics like Mind Your Lnaguage!
