- Sandra Bullock returns as Special Agent Gracie Hart in a funny, fabulous Miss Congeniality follow-up. This time, she's the bureau's new celebrity face, making the rounds of talk shows (her heroics at the Miss United States Beauty Pageant made her too famous for field work). She also has a new partner (Regina King), an agent with anger-management issues and a dim opinion of pampered Gracie. But when Gracie's friends (Heather Burns and William Shatner) are kidnapped, nothing can keep Special Agent GS13 out of the action. Look out world. The cover girl is going back undercover!

Although this did have some humorous moments, I'm afraid it was nowhere near as funny as the first one. Michael Caine didn't feature in it at all, and an ageing William Shatner was nothing short of irritating. The characters were, quite honestly, weak and I found that I tended to switch off about halfway through, although it did liven up again towards the end.

Some good one-liners and Sandra Bullock certainly didn't over-act here - I don't mean that in a cynical way but she was relaxed in her role. Storyline was linked to the original film and followed on from that but wasn't the main driving point of the film, which was the interaction between Bullock's character and everyone else.
Passed an evening and I would tell people to watch it rather than avoid it.

I liked this character that Sandra Bullock played. I love this sort of comedy anyway. We recently watched the first film, and enjoyed this character, smart, feisty and funny. I wondered how they could possibly do a follow-up but this managed it, without leading us to think that there would be more films to follow. There was enough pathos in the two lead characters' stories to make it more human.
