Franklin Hatchett (Chris Tucker) is a smooth talking, small time con artist who gets himself arrested, and hand-cuffed to Villard, a vicious international diamond smuggler. On the way to jail, Villard makes an escape, killing anyone who gets in his way. Franklin becomes his reluctant hostage. After his killing spree, Villard is about to dispose of the only remaining eyewitness, when Franklin breaks free and escapes. Franklin must now clear his name, though Villard and the LAPD both want him dead. Then, help arrives, in the form of television newsman, James Russell (Charlie Sheen). He will do anything to land this exclusive "cop killer" story, including dodging bullets, jumping from buildings and being held hostage when he should be at his wedding rehearsal... - Actors:
