Motley Crue, those bad boys of the 1980s "hair metal" genre, exploded onto the rock scene with chart-topping albums, controversial (and often banned) videos and notoriously wild behavior. Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and John Corabi thrived on madness and mayhem, and the band's reputation and electrified riffs fueled album sales.
