They were out to set the record for the world's longest ski descent, facing their toughest opponent... Themselves. The three ski mountaineers Axel Naglich (AUT), Peter Ressmann (AUT) and Jon Johnston (USA) rise to the challenge of one of the last great adventures. Their goal: the world's longest, snow-covered Vertical line. From the summit of Mount St. Elias to the beaches of the Gulf of Alaska. The world's highest coastal mountain range turns out to be an erratic opponent. This archaic ice desert, with its unpredictable weather conditions, temperatures at around -50° Celsius and a permanent avalanche hazard, makes the expedition a high-risk gamble.
