Synopsis:
In 1972, On the morning of September 5, with six days left in the Games, the worst tragedy in Olympic history hit. Eight Palestinian terrorists stormed into the Olympic Village and raided the apartment building that housed the Israeli contingent. Two Israeli athletes were killed and nine more were seized as hostages. The whole world watched in horror as the tragedy of the Munich games unfolded before their eyes. When the smoke had finally cleared, 11 Israelis, five of the terrorists and a German policeman lay dead.
From visionary investigative film-maker Wilfried Huismann comes this hard-hitting exploration of the events leading up to the 1972 Olympic Israeli hostage crisis. Featuring an exclusive interview with the sole remaining terrorist, Palestinian Jamal Chashi, along with the widow of hostage Andre Spitzer and several leading members of the crisis team, Huismann shows us a picture of a world in turmoil, and the impact of the horrifying outcome echoing down through the years.
