The young Arthur Conan Doyle has just qualified as a doctor and is troubled by a beautiful young patient, claiming to be the victim of a stalker. As the investigation deepens, the appearance of corpses, an old house with a gruesome past and the worrying disappearance of the beautiful young patient leads Dr Joseph Bell (Ian Richardson) and Arthur Conan Doyle (Charles Edwards) to employ his famed 'methodology' to solve the case.
