Synopsis:
Gunned down by police in a spectacular chase, the bullet-riddled corpse of a mysterious man, Townsend (Lance Edwards), is delivered to the city morgue. Dr. Dori Caisson (Hilary Shepard), begins an autopsy and is astonished when the dead man's wounds miraculously heal. Townsend then kidnaps her. Another mysterious man, Yates (Robert Forster), appears on the scene just as Townsend and Dori are leaving in a car. Screaming in a strange language, Yates tries to shoot Townsend. Townsend slams the car into Yates, hurtling him over the edge of the parking structure.
At Dori's home Townsend tells Dori he is a Peacemaker, an alien from a distant galaxy, and that he is pursuing Yates, a criminal from their world, who is also nearly indestructible. Only massive brain damage can kill them. Townsend enlists Dori's aid in finding a metallic card he needs to activate his spaceship for the return voyage. Dori is later captured by Yates. He persuades her to believe he is a Peacemaker, and that Townsend is the criminal. Dori reveals that Townsend is looking for the metallic card, just as he attacks Yates. Now believing that Yates is the peacemaker, Dori helps him escape. She goes to the morgue where she locates the card among Townsend's bullet-torn clothing. Returning to the car, she finds Townsend waiting for her. He overcomes her doubts, and convinces her that he is the real Peacemaker. But can she be sure?
