Synopsis:
Pete, a young orphan, runs away to a Maine fishing town with his best friend - a lovable, sometimes invisible Dragon named Elliott. Things look bright when a kind lighthouse keeper, Nora (Helen Reddy), and her father (Mickey Rooney) take in Pete and Elliott, but Elliotts pranks land Pete in trouble with the townsfolk. Then, when crooked salesmen try to capture Elliott, it's up to Pete to rescue his magical friend - and in the process he discovers the real meaning of friendship and family.
