Synopsis:
Over 2,000 people flocked to the Legge-Bourke family's Glanusk Estate in July 2009 to watch Argentinian professional polo players Oscar Mancini and Daniel Otamendi play for South America against a Welsh team that included polo stars Tarquin Southwell and Richard Blake-Thomas, in support of the Princes Trust Cymru. The first civilian polo club in the British Isles was set up in 1872 just over the border in Monmouthshire and the partisan crowd were celebrating Polo coming home. The game was also unique according to wales player Ricky Cooper, whos also known for his skills at another sport - ice hockey.
Cooper, whose mother comes from bridgend, said - theres no national welsh polo team, so in that respect our side was unique. It was fantastic to represent wales, although i have played (ice hockey) in seven world championships for Great Britain i never got a chance to choose a country to represent. Yhe film includes interviews with the players, a nail biting match to remember olus footage of the beautiful legge-bourke family home.
