30 years ago a serial killer was caught and executed but now, he’s killing again. At a deserted rest stop, caught in the middle of nowhere – seven people are trapped in a living nightmare. They’re not the first to face this, and they won’t be the last. In Death Valley, where three casino robbers-on-the-run choose to take on the incompetent sheriff of this godforsaken place, a shootout leads to a cataclysmic explosion, with the survivors too stunned and injured to react quickly enough to escape. When backup fails to arrive, the truth begins to dawn on them that the horrible, rotting smell they sense around them is actually the harbinger of death, and the rise of Reeker.
