In fact, his following gains momentum with each new generation that discovers the much-loved tales of Robin, his Merry Men and the lovely Maid Marian.
This programme steps back into history and takes the 'Robin Hood Tour' around the magnificent countryside that inspired this legend. Our journey begins in Nottingham with a visit to the Castle, where the evil Sheriff attempted to outwit Robin. A walk of the streets of this fascinating city in search of the magical legacy left by Nottingham's most famous son is followed by the peace and tranquility of Sherwood Forest for a taste of the outlaw life, hidden amongst the mighty oaks of Old England.
By exploring the myths and stories surrounding England's most famous outlaw, the programme attempts to discover the facts beyond the fiction of the legendary outlawed hero, Robin Hood.
