- Synopsis:
- Britain's answer to the rock 'n' roll films coming out of America in the late 1950's such as 'Rock Around the Clock', this musical revolves around the exploits of DJ Johnny Laurence. With the coming of the rock 'n' roll revolution, Gilbert ascends to superstardom. He soon becomes vain and egotistical, alienating everyone he knows, including his true-blue girlfriend Carol. Musical acts featured in the film include Tony Crombie and his Rockets, Rory Blackwell and the Blackjacks, Don Sollah and his Rockin' Horses and George 'Calypso' Browne
