- Synopsis:
- Entire first series of the BBC comedy drama. It might be 1965, but the streets of Manchester are still far from swinging. Young sisters Ellie and Arden Brookes are still under the thumb of their domineering gran (Sue Johnston) - that is, until the arrival of rock 'n' roll group the Ice Cubes. Suddenly, there is lead singer Dallas McCabe for the girls to focus their romantic attentions on, and life will never be the same again.
