- For most high school graduates the middle of summer is a time to party like never before but for Megan (Elisabeth Harnois) it's a time of mourning due to the unexplained suicide of her identical twin sister. Trying to escape from her troubles she joins her friends Zoe (Amanda Seyfried), Christian (Shawn Ashmore), Alicia (Hilarie Burton) on a trip to an old lake house for a weekend of fun. But as strange things start to happen Megan suspects that Sophie may be trying to communicate from beyond the grave and that the summer solstice is far from just another day of the calendar.
