Rent Steam Engines of British Railway (2009)

This programme takes a look at the some of the 2,500 steam engines built by British Railways between 1948 and 1960, and operated in Britain until the end of steam in 1968. Now many are thankfully preserved on railways across the country - ranging from small shunters to large express and freight locos.
