- The Great Western Railway's publicity machine was on of the most effective railway promotional organisations ever. Long after the GWR had ceased to exist it continued its pull on the imagination of both enthusiast and general traveller alike, ensuring that much of the system has seen its magnificent Brunswick Green locomotives, from Pannier tanks to Kings, continue to work throughout the last decade. Today it is possible to travel over almost the whole of the Great Western Railway with a great variety of its original locomotives. So, using footage selected from ten years of dedicated observation, this video takes you on such a journey, to savour Steam in Britain on GWR Lines.
