- From Nigel Finch, executive producer of 'Paris is Burning', comes a new film with love in its heart, respect on its mind, and pumps on its feet. With a great soundtrack featuring the music of The Shangri-Las, Patti LaBelle and Judy Garland, 'Stonewall' mixes a lip-syncing chorus with a "Midnight Cowboy" sensibility. It's story folllows Matty Dean (Frederick Weller), a self-made hustler who moves to New York's Greenwich Village to find himself. Instead, he finds love with a transvestite named La Miranda (Guillermo Díaz), rage with the attitudes of the local police, and an absolute belief that one man can make a difference.
