Synopsis:
The Problem:
Trevor, 26, a loner, obsessed with women, but so afraid of them he can barely speak if they're about. Needs a partner, a lover, someone to trust him, someone to obey him...
Lahn, 22, smack addict and slacker. He loves women, but not as much as heroin. He stole his dealers stash, needs a place to hide, someone to conceal and protect him...

The Solution:
Trevor can hide Lahn, lie for him, protect him and provide for him...
But only if Lahn becomes Dorothy, Trevor's ideal woman.

A gritty, intense drama, mixed with black comedy, Surrender Dorothy takes the dark facets of human behaviour and twists them to the extreme.

Bizarre and Low Budget - Surrender Dorothy review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
17/09/2008

A bold attempt to make a film about an obviously sexually repressed guy who uses a junkie’s addiction and dependence to force him to carry out his sexual fantasies. The film is obviously low budget filmed in grainy black and white which gives it a certain atmosphere and the story is interesting if a little disturbing. The problem with this film is that it doesn’t stimulate any emotion which is due to the fact that the two main characters are unsympathetic and the acting is not great. It lacked reality especially from the victims point of view. I watched this film not really knowing what to expect. I was under the impression it was a gay film however this didn’t come across at all. In fact I found the main character’s constant denial that he wasn’t a “fag” rather annoying and offensive. Why do all gay films have to involve psychologically disturbed characters, drug taking or sexual deviancy. Surely there must be some straight forward gay love stories out there.
