- Synopsis:
- Comedian Dick Gregory portrays Richie 'Eagle' Coles, a charismatic but self-destructive saxophonist, closely based on Charlie Parker. As his musical talent threatens to become overshadowed by his excessive lifestyle, two friends, both with their own problems, attempt to pull him back from the brink. Saxophonist Charles McPherson ghosts for Gregory.
