Tonight, in Los Angeles, the President of the United States is throwing a ten thousand dollar-a-plate charity dinner. It is one week away from the elections and there is a good chance President Fallbrook is going to lose his bid for a second term. So someone comes, up with "A Plan". What if the President is kidnapped tonight in the banquet room of the hotel? What if this is a "Black Ops" assignment carried out by CIA operatives with knowledge of only that "someone" in the White House? What if the President escapes from the clutches of these terrorists and his heroism is conveniently caught on tape? What if this "escape footage" is played over and over again across America and the entire world on every TV station... enough publicity to ensure President Fallbrook's re-election?...A great idea! One Problem...What if the man in charge of the "Black Ops" team, a trusted operative known only as 'The Leader', decides 'The Plan' is so good and the escape route so completely foolproof that he decides he wants the ransom money. So...kill the President, kill the hostages and kill his own crew, then escape as planned... A great idea! One Problem...A new guy...One of the Leader's regular crew doesn't arrive and must be replaced by an alternate at the last moment. He's a bad guy with a bad reputation.
