- Jeremiah ('appointed by Jehovah') led a long and incident-filled life, trying to convert the unconverted and dangerously challenging the authority of King Nebuchadnezzar and his evil son, Merodach. This episode, from The Bible series, is directed by leading film and TV director Harry Winer. The film follows Jeremiah as he abandons his family and the woman he loves to deliver God's message in Jerusalem. His warnings about the Holy City being destroyed by the Babylonians results in his being branded a traitor and persecuted. But Jeremiah will not give up and suffers imprisonment and risks his life for his mission.
