Synopsis:
An old tanker veers off course, heading straight for the Oresund Bridge, the scene of the now-infamous crime that first united detectives Saga Noren (Sofia Helin) and Martin Rohde (Kim Bodnia). The Malmo Coast Guard urgently contacts the tanker but there is no reply, the call just echoes eerily across the bridge of the ship. When the Coast Guard finally board the ship they discover there is no crew present but find three Swedish and two Danish youths chained below deck.
Saga Noren H of Malmo County Police is immediately put in charge of the case but, as Danish victims are involved, she contacts her previous case-collaborator, Martin Rohde, and they embark on investigating the mysterious and complex case.

Excellent sequel to the equally good first series. Saga is by far the best female character in crime drama. Gripping plot. Love it.

Can't recommend it enough - The Bridge: Series 2 review by EM

As good as the first series. Love the well-developed, rounded characters, with their unique quirkiness and very human failings. As someone else said, it's impossible to watch just one episode! Really excellent crime drama. Can't recommend it enough.

Gripping - The Bridge: Series 2 review by JD

This is a sequel that you really have to have seen the first for. The great draw of this detective series is the plot. It is very difficult to watch one episode and stop. The complexity of the clues is just enough to make it easy to follow but impossible to guess the outcome. The main character's (Saga's) autistic personality is a theme I think that could be less highlighted but does make it a bit quirky. The acting and personalities are otherwise excellent. There are some loose ends which are a bit frustrating but I suppose life is like that. I remain a complete Scandinavian drama series fan especially detective drama. This did not disillusion me.
