- James Brolin and Jacqueline Bissett star in the 1967 suspense drama Cape Town Affair, a remake of the 1953 movie Pickup On South Street, about a pickpocket who steals a girl's wallet and finds himself involved in espionage. Jacqueline Bissett, in her first starring film role, plays Candy, an unsuspecting courier for a communist spy ring. When Brolin picks her pocket, he steals a purse containing top-secret microfilm - and is immediately plunged into intrigue.
