Well, little did we think when we recorded MGE in '79 that by public demand we'd be playing virtually the whole thing again Live in 2004, on the 25th Anniversary Reissu Tour. 'Etiquette' (named after a quote regarding our uncompromising stage performances by the lovely Caroline Coon in a Melody Maker review) has, apparently, stood the test of time - still sounding pretty fresh and vibed up ... mainly owing to our patent combination of punk and psychedelia that we were into at the time. After performing at a festival with Arthur Lee, where he faithfully recreated the wonderful 'Forever Changes' album, we thought we'd give it a go ourselves. The tour was great fun, with the Manchester show being filmed in front of an enthusiastic audience. So if, dear music fan, you are reading this sleeve at home, then allow me to congratulate you on your excellent taste. But if, on the other hand, you are holding this DVD in a music store - still undecided as to whether to purchase or not - then might I be allowed to say ... go on, grab yourself a piece of punk rock history by your chums the Damned - it's a whole lot better than the old garbage you'll find in most of the Other racks!
