Synopsis:
"The Day My God Died", an independent documentary feature film narrated by Tim Robbins and Winona Ryder and co-produced by Ryder, which will be featured during this week's Tribeca Film Festival in New York, was edited in its entirety by students and instructors of Video Symphony, Hollywood's leading TV, Film and DVD Education Center. The announcement was made today by Mr. Mike Flanagan, President, Video Symphony. Shot on location in Nepal and India, "The Day My God Died" is a revealing look by filmmaker/director Andrew Levine at the child sex slave trade in those lands, originally investigated by the late American journalist Robert I.
Friedman, who wrote about his experiences in The Nation in l996. Levine returned to the same brothers originally explored by Friedman, and documented the living conditions of young women sold there into the child sex slave trade.
