Cruel, Cruel Love
Charlie, having been caught flirting with the maid, is jilted by his sweetheart. Deciding to end it all, he takes poison which really isn't poison after all but merely a glass of water. Upon receiving a note of forgiveness from his beloved, he thinks it's too late.
The Landlady's Pet (aka The Star Boarder)
At his boardinghouse Charlie is the favorite of the owner's wife. Because of this, all the other male boarders dislike him and arrange to frighten him with a dummy. But Charlie gets the last laugh when the police find a real tramp hidden in a cupboard.Twenty Minutes of Love (aka Cops and Watches / Vingt Minutes D'Amour)
Charlie, strolling through a park, finds love all around. He happily joins two lovers on a bench but soon realizes that two is company, three is a crowd. Charlie finds a girl on another bench who has been left alone by her suitor... but the real fun begins when the boyfriend returns.
Caught in a Cabaret
Charlie is a waiter in a cheap cabaret, where he knocks obnoxious customers over the head. While on a break walking his dog he meets Mabel (Normand), saves her from a robber and tells a little lie that he is actually a bigwig. A real Cinderella story develops whose climax is an old fashioned pie-throwing fight.
A Busy Day
Charlie appears in drag...his first female impersonation. He plays a jealous wife who catches her husband wooing a pretty girl. Extremely mad, Charlie gets into a tangle with the police.
The Fatal Mallet
Charlie and Mack Sennett are rivals over Mabel's (Normand) affections. They struggle with one another over who will court her. Mabel is hard to please, and only a swift kick in rear gains Charlie her attention.
The Knockout
Primarily a Fatty Arbuckle comedy, Charlie steals the show as the trouble-making referee of a boxing match. Charlie takes a punch and ends up tied up in ropes of the ring. Look for the Keystone Kops in a frenzied chase.- Actors:
