Synopsis:
International playboy Cecil Fox (Rex Harrison) decides to pretend he is dying in order to find out what his three ex-lovers will do when they hear the news. He summons them all to his bedside and they come willingly, thinking of the fortune he will leave behind. The three are the madcap Mrs. Crocket-Sheridan; the gorgeous Princess Dominique, royal but broke, and the enigmatic screen star, Merle McGill. To help in his scheme, Fox hires unemployed actor and sometime gigolo McFly, to keep the ladies in line. But things take an unexpected turn when McFly begins to suspect that something more than a hoax is going on, and very soon Fox's charade becomes an all too real murder mystery.
