- Synopsis:
- Indian Doctor is a BBC-made comedy drama starring as Sanjeev Bhaskar as Prem Sharma, a high-flying doctor from Delhi who has recently relocated to a small Welsh mining village. Set in the early 1960s, the series follows Prem and his regal wife, Kamini (Ayesha Dharker), as they adjust to their new life. As a local GP in a quiet sleepy community, Prem at first struggles to adapt but as the villagers begin to overcome their prejudices so does the Indian doctor. Kamini, however, remains keen to leave as quickly as possible.
