Synopsis:
Released in 1979, the Grammy award-winning 'Regatta de Blanc' was the album that confirmed The Police as a major rock act around the world. It gave the band two memorable, bestselling hit singles - 'Message in a Bottle' and 'Walking on the Moon'. This unique critical review of a classic pop album features superb performance footage from their sensational 1980 Rockpalast-Nacht show in Germany. It also includes an all-new interview with original guitarist Henry Padovani, in which he gives a candid appraisal of the album and the band as musicians and as people. Padovani also offers a fascinating insight into the vibrant London punk scene of the mid-seventies.
Also featured are veteran music journalists Hugh Fielder and Chris Welch who provide a powerful critical appraisal of The Police's greatest album. Also on hand is seasoned session musician John McKenzie, who offers in-depth musical analysis of a true rock milestone.
