- Angels come to Earth to find a human soul that can end the war in heaven. When Thomas Daggett (Elias Koteas) falls victim to confusing and horrific dreams, he abandons the church at his ordination into the priesthood. Years later as a homicide detective assigned to a grisly murder case, he discovers a series of clues with dark religious overtones. Then begins a race against time to prevent the dead man's evil soul from falling into the hands of Gabriel (Christopher Walken) who seeks to take control of Heaven from God and destroy humanity itself.

Average - The Prophecy review by CP Customer
Apart from the brilliant perforance from Christopher Walken the film is pretty average and at times fairly religious. The plot is fairly weak and the direction is uninspired.
Worth a look, to see Christopher Walken in an early role, played in a cold, unshakable display of acting.
