- Synopsis:
- Mario Lanza provides the voice over in this charming musical. The songs were all recorded a few years before and remarkably all done in a single take. During filming Lanza fell out with the director and MGM and he was replaced by Edmund Purdom who mimed the songs perfectly. Ironically when the film was finished it had a different director, Richard Thorpe, with whom Lanza had no problems at all.
