powerful - The Third Part of the Night review by pete b

a very compelling film, that operates on more than one level. whilst offering a view of the german occupation of poland during world war two, the film also is undoubtedly concerned with poland at the time of the making of the film i.e. 1970. there is also the personal story/journey aspect of the film. there is a lot going on! it's a long way from hollywood entertainment . . . . hurrah!

Aged Badly - The Third Part of the Night review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert

While no doubt a decent film in Poland, The Third Part of the Night does not stand up well to international comparison. You can forgive the low budget origins but the film itself is clunky, badly acted, paced poorly and has ideas above its station. Not a fine example of European cinema.
