Growing up immersed in the culture of crime within Glasgow's Blackhill, Paul Ferris (Martin Compston) soon attracts a street reputation and is sought out by the 'Godfather' of the gangster community, Arthur Thompson Snr. He starts to work for the gangland boss, scaling the ranks through the bloodshed and betrayal until a chain of events explodes the world of crime and corruption into an all out gang war.
A gritty piece of story telling about one of Scotland's notorious gangsters, Paul Ferris. Although a violent man, he was a gangster with a conscience and a bit of compassion who naively believed that loyality counted for everything in the underworld. A very enjoyable film and well woth the time spent watching it. Lot's of aggressive uses of the 'C' word though so be warned.
