The Yanks Are Coming: The Western Front 1916 - 1918 (2001)

Documentary describing the story behind the US entry into the First World War. Looking at the pressures exerted on President Wilson to come to the aid of the European Allies, along with the anti-interventionist resistance mounted by Americans opposed to any such action, the programme also examines the conditions under which US soldiers finally joined their European counterparts and helped break the deadlock on the Western Front.
