- Thomas Arnold is the new headmaster of Rugby School, where the students have developed a reputation for being wild, disruptive and dishonest. Arnold instills a new discipline to the school, resulting in the expelling of several boys, at much the same time a new boy, Tom Brown arrives.

Appalling sound - Tom Brown's School Days review by IT
The 1 star is no reflection on the quality of the film, which I did not manage to watch, but is a reflection of the quality of the print. After 5+ minutes of appalling sound quality, I decided enough was enough and turned it off. Whichever company produced this DVD should be ashamed.
