Shangri-La is located in Zhongdian which is the site of the capital of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous prefecture in Yunnan, China. From of old, this place is a main passageway to Tibet and a bustling bazaar on the ancient tea route. The tourist attractions include: the scenic natural scenery, wonderful sight of prairie on Napahai Plain, distinctive Tibetan ethnic folklore, well-known Saltant-Tiger Gorge which is the most breathtaking wonder along the surging Yangtze River, and the noted Tibetan-Buddhist temple - Songzanlin Lamasery.
